'Knapping' is an age-old technique in which stone is split, to reveal its stunning interior. Knapped flint has a timeless quality and is an attractive material for both heritage and contemporary building projects.
Our Knapped flint is locally sourced from quarries only minutes away from our yard, in Norfolk. We knap our stone by hand, taking care to achieve the finest results.
We currently stock the Norfolk Blue Flint, renowned for it's stunning smoky grey / blue shades, and our strikingly dark, Norfolk Chalk Flint - both native to East Anglia.
Flint can be ordered bespoke, to your specific requirements. We also provide pre-prepared stock, generally sized from around 3" to 6" (dependant on preference), both in rounded or rectangular finish.
